N.S.S: National Service Scheme
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a central sector public service program in India launched on September 24, 1969, by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to develop student personality through community service. Operating under the motto “Not Me But You,” it fosters social responsibility, civic engagement, and character development among students in schools and colleges.
Regular Activities (RA): Ongoing projects such as cleaning, tree planting, blood donation drives, and awareness campaigns, with a, funding of Rs. 400 per volunteer annually.
Special Camping Programme (SCP): 7-day or 10-day camps held in adopted villages or urban slums, focusing on specific community development projects.
Motto: “Not me but you” reflects the essence of selfless service.
Symbol: The symbol is based on the Konark Sun Temple’s Rath wheel, representing movement and cycle of life. The 24 bars represent 24 hours of the day.
Color: The red badge indicates high energy and lively youth, while navy blue represents the cosmos.
Through seminars, rallies, competitions, training programs, and social campaigns, NSS helps students develop communication skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and a strong sense of citizenship. The department acts as a bridge between the university and society, fostering responsible individuals who contribute meaningfully to social progress.

Date: 21st June, 2024
NSS UNIT and Patanjali Yog Samiti jointly organized International Yoga Day volunteers did Yoga, Asana & Meditation session with invited resource person at college campus. Total 58 (35 NON & 23 NSS Volunteers) Objective of this activity to motivate students about importance of health & Out Comes is to successfully practiced yoga session and aware about yoga.

Organized Drug addiction seminar at college with resource person Mrs. Disha kadambe Nasha Bandhi Mandal Maharashtra. 47 volunteers attended seminar the theme of “say no to drug’s yes to life” International day against drug abuse and ill effects sustains abuse products. Total 47 Objective of this activity is to create awareness about ill effects of use of drugs. & Out Comes is to students aware about sustain abuse products and safety measures.
Event: Tree Plantation Programme
Date: 7th August, 2024
Organized Tree plantation programme at Adopted Area (Lalji pada & Ganesh Nagar) NSS Unit selected 15 families and distributed trees also planted tree at school campus. Total 20 fruits trees (Neem, Jamun, Ashok & Mango tree) planted from Morning 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Total 38 participated. Objective of this programme is to impact of environment on human life. & Out Come is to create awareness among peoples save environment and encourage keeping clean environment.
Event: Paper Bags Making Activity

It is sustainable Activity every year we plan & Organized Paper Bags making activity from waste news papers. Volunteers prepared paper bags from waste news papers they seat together at college or some paper bags prepared from home and submit at college office entire year 4 times activity conducted. Number of Participants joined till date is to 69. Objective of this activity is to create awareness reduces, recycle and reuse waste Out Come is to develop sense to recycle the waste.

Joined online “Nashe ke Virudh Sapat Samaraoh” by Team of Maharashtra Nasha Bandhi Mandal under campaign of Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan from Delhi live session attend by volunteers. Our college volunteer’s live joined programme with help of projector of class room also took pledge against drug with online zoom platform. Total 45 students participated. Objective of this activity is to create awareness about not to use of any sustains abuse products. & Out Come is to Students aware about sustain abuse products and safety measures
Event: Rakhi Selling activity on 3 Days

B35 NSS Unit & Kakoomal Keslibai Trust jointly organized Rakhi Selling activity on 3 Days volunteers Sold Rakhi, Kitchens, Bracelets materials which is prepared by Disable & Mentally challenge students. Amount collected after selling articles that donated to trust for disable children’s development. This year 1500/- amount collected & submitted. Number of Participants joined Total 15, 12, 20 respectively. Objective this activity is to give help to under privilege children’s Out Come of this activity is to Awareness was created among students help needy peoples. Make them responsible social citizen.
Event: Celebrated Tri colors day during Independence Day week
Date: 12th, 13th, 14th August 2024
Tri Colours Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 12th, 13th, & 14th August 2024. Each day was dedicated to one of the colours of the Indian National Flag—Saffron, White (with Blue), and Green—to help students understand their significance and values. Saffron Day was observed, symbolizing courage, sacrifice, and strength. Students and teachers dressed in saffron colour and participated in activities highlighting bravery and patriotism. White and Blue Day was celebrated, representing peace, truth, and the Ashoka Chakra which stands for justice and progress. Students came dressed in white with blue accents and engaged in creative activities such as drawing, colouring, and discussions about honesty and unity. Green Day marked the importance of growth, prosperity, and harmony with nature. Students wore green attire and took part in activities that promoted environmental awareness and love for nature.
Event:- Ganesh Immersion
Date:- 08th , 11th, 13th , 17th September, 2024
Participated as a volunteer on the 4 Different Days of Ganesh Immersion at Kandivali Gaon Talav, assisting in crowd control, traffic management in coordination with Mumbai Police, and collection of Nirmalya and other waste from Ganesh idols to ensure a safe and eco-friendly immersion process. “Managing the Crowd, Protecting the Environment.”
Event: International Coastal Cleanup Drive

NSS Unit & My Green Society organized International Coastal Cleanup Drive at Gorai Beach Borivali. Volunteers did Registration first after 5 to 6 team prepared collected waste materials, wood, plastics, glass, metal products kept in to Black bags. Total 500kg waste garbage’s collected by volunteer also took pledge with my green society team for clean environment & Healthy society.
Event: Poster-Making Competition (Cyber Crime)

Organized in a Poster-Making Competition on Cyber Crime aimed at spreading awareness about online safety, cyber fraud, and responsible use of digital platforms through creative visual communication. Number of Participant joined is Total 15. Objective this competition is to create awareness about cyber crime, promote safe online practices, and encourage creative expression to educate people on digital safety. Out Come is to Participants gained better understanding of cyber threats and preventive measures, while the posters effectively communicated cyber safety messages to a wider audience.
Event: Orphanage Visit
Date: 6th October 2024
On the occasion of NSS Foundation Day, volunteers visited Orphanage (Leprosy House, Prem Sadan, Bothello House, and Shanti Dham Ashram), where chocolates and handmade notebooks were distributed to underprivileged children, spreading joy and reinforcing the spirit of service and social responsibility. Total 45 volunteers joined. Objective of this activity is to celebrate NSS Foundation Day by promoting compassion, social responsibility, and community service through meaningful interaction and support for underprivileged children. Outcome of this activity is to brought happiness to the children, strengthened the spirit of volunteerism among NSS members, and fostered empathy, teamwork, and awareness of social welfare needs

Objective is to create awareness about Drugs and its effects & Out Come of rally is to make aware about youth against drugs safety and health.

2nd October 2024 send volunteers for awareness about Gandhi Jayanti Bhajan Sandhya organized by NSS CELL, University Of Mumbai Entire programme organized in front of Gatway of India, Churchgate. Some Cultural programme & Bhajan also organized. 45 Participants joined. Objective is to importance about International Non-Violence Day & out Come of make aware about youth peace and Communal harmony.

NSS UNIT Organized 1 hours of Shramdaan for Swachhata at Akruli Bus Depot kandivali east. Volunteers took pledge and did cleaning work same. Purpose this activity to making our city clean, green and beautiful. 37 Participants joined. Objective this drive is to create Bus stop clean and beautiful and develop importance of shramdan. On 3rd Oct 2024 NSS Unit organized voting awareness session for New Voters enrollment in physical & online system with support of 161 Charkop Vidhan Shabha Matdar Sangh team under SWEEP Upkram. Also celebrated National Voter Day volunteers took pledged for having abiding faith in democracy, dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections and to vote in every election fearlessly. Total 51 Participated. Objective of this drive is to create voting awareness session for New voter’s enrollment. Out Come is to students participate in elections if voter id prepared and enrolled.

During state election our college and near adopted area Bajaj school both place election booth allotted in that our volunteers did crowd management and handle overall discipline management work at college or even Bajaj school campus. Entire day duty did by volunteers. Total 40 2team (12+28) Objective of this activity is to Ensuring safety & security; maintain order & discipline & facilitating smooth voting process. Out Come is to directing voters, managing queues, providing information, preventing disruptions.

Volunteers collect plastic wrappers in empty bottles in their home and 3 times submitted in to NSS office. This activity conducted under ECO BRICKS PROJECT. Total 39 bottles collected. 50 volunteer attended Training workshop organized by University NSS Cell in collaboration with V4organ Donation at District level Mumbai city, Mumbai suburban Online awareness of organ Donation Training workshop by Shrikant Apte kaka conducted a session to orient the leader’s about how to conduct the activity in college. or once chapter or test completed by volunteers then individual certificate or 20 hrs allotted to them after completion of this project in month.

Event: EYE, SKIN & Organ Donation Awareness Seminar

NSS UNIT Organized EYE, SKIN & Organ Donation Awareness Seminar with collaboration LIVE BEYOND LIFE FOUNDATION at college. In this Seminar we invited 3 different experts, Doctors from Nayar or Jashlok or other popular hospital as resource person who oriented methods of donating organ or system or encourage students to donate in future. Even question or answer round also conducted to solved quarries this one of best seminar organized this year
(54 Beneficiary) Objective of this seminar is to Increasing awareness, encouraging donation, Dispelling myths, educating the public, promoting organ donation and increasing registration. Out Come is to increasing lives saved reduced waiting lists, more donor registrations, community engagement, improved quality life. Transplants increased chances of matching, improved patient outcomes.
Event: MASS Railway Safety & Cleaning Awareness Drive

NSS UNIT organized under the campaign of “Majhi Mumbai Swachh Mumbai” Mass Railway safety & cleaning awareness drive at adopted area near station Kandivali & plat form. Total 59 volunteers joined. Objective of this drive is to create public place clean, beautiful and develop importance of shramdan. Outcome is to develop shramdan importance and remove waste

Organized Road Safety & Traffic Awareness Drive at Shanker lane Namha Hospital circle kandivali east. In this activity volunteers display play cards or posters to all vehicle drivers & peoples or shouted small messages related to traffic rules. Total 42 volunteers joined. Objective of this Drive is to Increasing awareness, promoting safe driving practices, reducing road accidents. Out Come is to know safer roads, reduced road fatalities, improved road safety culture, increased compliance, reduced economic burden, increased quality of life
