The National E-Conference on “Innovating for a Sustainable Future: Harnessing Emerging Technologies to Drive Global Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Impact” was successfully organized by IQAC in association with the University of Mumbai on 20th March 2026 through an online platform. The conference aimed to bring together academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students to deliberate on the role of emerging technologies in achieving sustainable development and strengthening ESG practices. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately more than 104 research papers submitted for International Journal publication from various institutions across the country, reflecting the growing importance of sustainability, innovation, and responsible governance in the academic and professional landscape.
The conference commenced with a formal inaugural session, beginning with the University of Mumbai song, followed by the Saraswati Vandana to invoke blessings for knowledge and wisdom. The welcome address was delivered by Asst. Prof. Mangesh Jadhav, who warmly greeted all dignitaries and participants. This was followed by an insightful address by Dr. Meena Mashru, IQAC Coordinator the Organising Secretary, who emphasized the relevance of integrating emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and data analytics with environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical governance. She also highlighted the importance of academic collaboration and the role of educational institutions in promoting research, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning.
The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, Professor at K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, Secretary of the Indian Commerce Association, Treasurer of Maharashtra Commerce Association, and Member of the Board of Studies at the University of Mumbai. who highlighted the significance of research and innovation in addressing global challenges and encouraged participants to contribute meaningfully towards sustainable development.
The session was further enriched by the address of the Chairperson, Dr. Reshma Vaja, Principal of the college, who not only appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee but also elaborated extensively on the conference theme. She emphasized that in the rapidly evolving global scenario, sustainable development can only be achieved through the responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies. Dr. Vaja further stressed the importance of aligning academic research with real-world challenges and encouraged participants to focus on innovative, practical, and socially responsible solutions. Her address provided a deeper understanding of ESG principles and inspired participants to adopt a holistic and ethical approach towards technology-driven development.
A major highlight of the conference was the keynote address delivered by Dr. Suhas Dhande, Principal and Professor of Commerce at Chameli Devi Institute of Professional Studies, Indore. With over 33 years of academic experience, he provided deep insights into the integration of ESG principles with emerging technologies and emphasized the importance of ethical governance, innovation, and research-driven solutions to address contemporary global challenges. His address was highly informative, practical, and inspiring for all participants.
The technical sessions formed the core of the conference, providing a platform for researchers and academicians to present their work and engage in meaningful academic discussions. The conference was structured into two major tracks. For Track 1: Commerce & Management, the session was chaired by Dr. Sumita Shankar, Associate Professor at NSS College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. And also Ph.D. Guide recognized at the University of Mumbai.
For Track 2: Information Technology, the session was chaired by Dr. Rajendra B. Patil, a distinguished academic leader, researcher, innovator, and corporate trainer with over two decades of experience. He currently serves as Director at Uma Krishna Shetty Institute of Management Studies, Director of Institutional Growth & Strategies at Anna Leela College, and Co-Founder & Director at Pitasys Software Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Patil has been instrumental in implementing NEP 2020 initiatives.
The technical sessions formed the core of the conference and were efficiently conducted by Asst. Prof. Mangesh Jadhav and Asst. Prof. Shriya Pandit, who ensured smooth coordination and effective time management throughout the presentations. During the technical sessions research papers were presented, covering diverse and contemporary themes such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT applications, blockchain technology, data analytics, environmental sustainability, and digital innovation for social equity. Each presenter was allotted a specific time to present their research, followed by interactive discussions and feedback, making the sessions highly engaging and intellectually stimulating. The sessions facilitated knowledge exchange, critical thinking, and exposure to innovative research ideas aligned with ESG and sustainable development goals.
The valedictory session, presented by Dr. Meena Mashru, provided a comprehensive summary of the conference proceedings, highlighting key discussions, research contributions, and overall achievements. The conference successfully fulfilled its objectives by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, promoting research-based insights, and providing a platform for collaboration among academicians and researchers. Participants were invited to share their feedback through an online form, and the responses received were highly positive, appreciating the relevance of the theme, the quality of sessions, and the seamless organization of the event.
To recognize academic excellence, awards for Best Research Paper Presentation were presented to outstanding participants, encouraging quality research and effective presentation skills which were formally declared by Dr. Reshma Vaja, Principal and Chairperson of the conference. The awards were presented track-wise to recognize outstanding contributions by both faculty and student participants.

These awards recognized and appreciated the exceptional research contributions, innovative ideas, and effective presentation skills of the participants, thereby encouraging academic excellence and promoting a strong research culture.
The conference concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Asst. Prof. Shriya Pandit, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Managing Trustee Shri Jayesh N. Majithia, Chief Guest Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, Keynote Speaker Dr. Suhas Dhande, Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja, Technical Session Chairs Dr. Sumita Shankar and Dr. Rajendra B. Patil, the organizing committee, and all participants for their valuable contributions in making the conference a grand success.
Overall, the National E-Conference emerged as a significant academic initiative that successfully promoted knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration. It reinforced the importance of integrating emerging technologies with sustainability and ESG practices, thereby contributing to the development of responsible, skilled, and future-ready professionals. The event concluded on a respectful and patriotic note with the National Anthem, marking the successful completion of the conference.
IQAC of NIRANJANA MAJITHIA COLLEGE OF COMMERCE organized a national conference titled World of Opportunities: Innovations and best practices on 19th March 2019. The conference was well attended by eminent academicians, faculty members and students from reputed educational institutions from different parts of the country. In technical sessions under different categories titled Accountancy, Commerce & Management, Marketing, Mass Media, Economy & Environment, Banking & Finance, Travel & Tourism, Legal Perspective, Economics, ICT in Education, Information technology, Technology & Innovation in Industrializations held over in one day, total 73 papers were presented at the conference.
The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Suhasini B Arya of K. G. Principal Mittal College of Arts & Commerce, Malad West at the inaugural function, on 19th March morning. In his inaugural address, he lauded the Management and the academic administration of the Institute for hosting a national conference for the first since the inception of the institute.
Dr. Anju Singh Dean JJT University, Dr. Swati Desai Principal Lords Universal College Malad west, Dr. Suhasini B Arya Principal K. G. Mittal College of Arts & Commerce, Malad West released the Journal of the conference on this occasion they shared their views on Innovations and best practices. In charge Principal Khushbu Pandya and Chairman of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce Shri Navinchandra Majithia and the Managing Trustee Shri Jayesh N. Majithia addressed the gathering. IQAC Co-ordinator Prof. Sweta R. Kumar gave an overview of the conference.
The inauguration was soon followed by the keynote speaker address, Dr. Radhika Lobo IQAC Co-ordinator of Christ University, Bangalore. Then the first technical session on commerce and management was chaired by session moderator Dr. Arvind Luhar, HOD of Accountancy, Ismail Yusuf College, and Jogeshwari. In the afternoon, the second technical session on Science and technology was chaired by Dr. Hiren Dand, Co-ordinator B.Sc. I.T. Mulund College of commerce and science giving a talk on innovation and best practices in technology. The talk was followed by the second technical session 23 presentations were made during that session. At the end of the 2nd technical session, there was a tea break.
The valedictory program conducted in the evening and the speaker of valedictory function Dr. Gopal K. Kalkoti, Principal of M.V.Mandali’s College of Commerce & Science and Chairperson of board of studies in Business Economics, University of Mumbai, congratulated the institute and the Management on organizing a national conference on a contemporarily relevant theme and offered their respective organizations help and support in organizing such programs in the future too. Dr. Gopal K. Kalkoti also gave away the certificates to the participants.
A few participants who gave their feedback on the conference praised the institution for hosting its first ever conference in such an impeccable manner and said that they were overwhelmed by the hospitality offered by the organizers.
Prof. Meena Mashru thanked all the delegates, the faculty and students for their magnanimous support and assured that Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce will organize more such activities in the future.
After the valedictory program, high tea was served and the conference came to an end, leaving fond memories in the minds of the guests and delegates and a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment in all members of the faculty and staff and student volunteers who were associated with its preparation and organization over a period of three months.
