Code of Conduct for Teacher

    1. Every teacher shall, at all times, maintain integrity, be devoted to duty and also be honest and impartial in his / her official dealings.
    2. Honor notices/ circulars/ office orders/any other communication by acknowledging and following the instructions.
    3. Only the English language shall be used for lectures and communication in the Institute.
    4. Wearing an ID-Card on campus and at the time of external visits.
    5. Follow proper dress code in order to inculcate appropriate dress code culture amongst students and to maintain dignity of the Institute.
    6. Check Institute’s website regularly & report any outdated or inappropriate information posted to the authorities.
    7. Use infrastructural facilities responsibly and maintain cleanliness for a conducive work environment.
    8. Constant vigilance during lecture delivery to ensure students do not damage the furniture, fixtures, ICT infrastructure etc. in order to minimize maintenance cost and damages. In case of any damage caused, deal with it in a responsible manner and report to the concerned authority. Ensure students on campus follow these instructions.
    9. Support the Institute in maintaining conducive teaching learning and work environment through high level of integrity, discipline, and a proactive work culture.
    10. Follow the norms and standards of the Institute & statutory bodies in order to meet various short & long term goals and Institute’s objective
    11. Ensure proper and timely submission of all the documents, reports, data etc. required by statutory, regulatory, affiliating, accrediting, certification, rating and ranking agencies.
    12. Monitor the progress of students through continuous sessional evaluation, to ensure effective teaching learning process and to enhance placements in good companies.
    13. Support students to complete Term Work o n a regular basis to avoidaccumulated load at the end of the semester .
    14. Be available to the students even beyond their class hours and help and guidestudents without any remuneration or rewards .
    15. Avoid availing leave during the semester & on important days In case of leave or absence due to any reason , ensure proper load arrangement forsmooth conduct of activities / session responsibilities.
    16. Ensure timely procurement of equipment and materials to avoid academic / financial loss and en h ance facilities in laboratories , etc. Also ensureoptimum utilization of resources .
    17. Support teamwork with proper communication and coordination . Adhere totimeline / deadline and compliance as per the academic calendar andinstructions given by authorities from time to time .
    18. Show commitment and sense of responsibility towards all assigned keyresult areas and duties .
    19. Be vigilant so that no unhealthy / unethical / unlawful / derogatory practicetakes place on campus and report any incidents tha t need immediateattention & corrective action .
    20. Be affectionate to the students and not behave in a vindictive mannertowards any of them for any reason .
    21. Be cordial to visitors & stakeholders of the Institute and direct them to meetproper authority .
    22. Keep yourself updated with emergency preparedness and ensure complianceduring crises like fire , flood , electrical shock , etc .
