CORE CLUB REPORT  – 2022-2023

Event: Career Guidance

Objective:

  1. To Explain about career guidance.
  2. To create the awareness about career among the students in different areas

The CORE CLUB of Bachelor of Information technology department in collaboration
with Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Niranjana Majithia College of commerce had
organized Webinar on “career guidance”. Dr. Sweta R Kumar, B.Sc-IT & IQAC
Coordinator started the session with introduction of career. Then the speaker Mr.
Samarendra Mohanty gave the students a brief description about how IT is important
and the need in the present scenario relating it to the corporate world.It was a very
informative day for the students and faculty members who attended the session.

Outcome:

The students gained insights into various IT career paths, industry trends, and
emerging technologies

Event: Software Project Management Seminar

Objective:

• To explain the importance of project.
• To explain how to build projects.

The CORE CLUB of Bachelor of Information technology department of Niranjana
Majithia College of commerce had organized Seminar on “Software Project
Management”. Dr. Sweta R Kumar, B.Sc-IT & IQAC Coordinator started the session
with introduction about projects. Then the speaker Mr. Manish Singh gave the students
a brief description about what is software project management and how to use UML
tools. The students were very satisfied with this seminar.

Outcome :

Participants gained a deeper understanding of project management principles and
methodologies specifically tailored to software development.

Event: Khel Mahotsav

Objective:

• To find out the interest of students in different games.
• To involve students to participate in fun events.

The CORE CLUB of Bachelor of Information technology department of Niranjana
Majithia College of commerce had organized ‘Khel Mahotsav’ for the students. The
Mahotsav started with squid games wherein many students had participated followed
by carrom and then chess. In the end there was a competition of BGMI .

Outcome :

The outcomes typically involve a positive impact on both individual participants and
the community by promoting the importance of sports and physical activity.

Event: Quiz Competition

Objective:

• To test the knowledge of students in various fields.

The CORE CLUB of Bachelor of Information technology department of Niranjana
Majithia College of commerce had organized “Quiz Competition” to test the knowledge
of students based on all the factors including IT, sports, general knowledge and
mathematics.
Outcome :
The outcome often involves increased knowledge, improved critical thinking, and a
positive learning experience for IT students.

Event: Internship Seminar

Objectives:

• To provide students with an opportunity to put into practice skills they have
learned

On 21st December 2022 our college organized internship seminar for the students of all
departments. The main objective of the internship seminar was to provide students with
an opportunity to put into practice skills they have learned in college. The Seminar was
conducted by Parashar Pandya The seminar was very useful and informative.

Outcome :

The ultimate outcome is to prepare individuals for a successful and enriching internship,
contributing to their professional development.

Event: Mathematics Day Celebration

Objectives:

• To raise awareness among people about the importance of mathematics for the
development of humanity.

Total number of participants- 112
India celebrates National Mathematics day on December 22 every year. The day
commemorates the birth anniversary of great Indian mathematician Srinivasa
Ramanujan. The mathematics day was celebrated with the objective of creating
awareness about importance of mathematics in our day-to- day life and also to create
students interest in studying mathematics. As a part of celebration our college had
organized quiz program for the students of all departments. All the students participated
with great enthusiasm. Students who scored above 50% were given e-certificate. The
quiz was enjoyed was all the students. The teachers encouraged the students to
participate in such activities in future as well.

Outcome :

The outcome of Mathematics Day celebrations is to make mathematics more accessible
and enjoyable, fostering a positive attitude towards the subject.

Event: Career in Animation

Objective:

• To guide students about the field of Animation in computers.
• To involve students interaction with the expertise.

The CORE CLUB of Bachelor of Information technology department of Niranjana
Majithia College of commerce had organized ‘Career in Animation’ event for the
students. The event started with the brief introduction of the animation given by the
speaker Mr.Augutine Chalissery .He discussed various stages of animation as well as
the softwares. Students explored the questions and answers session with the expertise
.Also one of the speakers student gave a demo lecture about animation. Students were
provided the guidance that without the much knowledge of programming language
they can set their career in the field of animation and VFX.

Outcome :

The outcome of a career in animation depends on individual passion, dedication, and
the ability to adapt to the evolving landscape of the animation industry

CORE CLUB REPORT  – 2021-2022

Event: ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Objective:

  1. To have an introduction among students with the professors.
  2. To make students aware about the institution and the program.

Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce conducted an online orientation programme for the first year students on 03 September 2020. This orientation programme was addressed by the Principal and BSc-IT coordinator with an aim to provide information to students about the institution code of conduct and the facilities provided by the college for the students.

The rules and regulations of the Program were explained by the B.Sc-IT coordinator on the day of induction. Prof Sweta Kumar discussed the course syllabus, pattern of Examination, rules for practical’s of their course, lab discipline, passing standard, library facility, computer lab facility, different activities conducted by the department, industrial visit as a part of their academic activity etc. 20 B.Sc-IT students participated in the orientation programme. Then the induction included awareness about the extension activities like NSS and DLLE.

Event: Selection of Core Club Members

Objective:

  1. To make students aware about the Club.
  2. To make the selection procedure of members transparent.

An online meeting was held on 26 October 2020 through interactive application Mentimeter for the election of student members of CORE CLUB wherein Shilpa Zote (SYBSC-IT) and Ravi Prasad( FYBc-IT) were elected as the secretary and joint secretary and active members will co-ordinate for the events of the core club. In the meeting First year, Second year and Third year BSc IT students were present.

 

Event: Online Quiz

Objective:

  1. To enhance students’ general awareness.
  2. To prepare students for future competitive exams.

 

The first event started on 6.1.2021 with a quiz on general knowledge followed by the other events based on the Intelligence Quotient Quiz, Basic Computer Knowledge Quiz, Logical Reasoning Quiz and Online Dictionary Game/ Overall 45 students have participated in the event.

 

EVENT :- PARENTS MEETING

            Objectives:

  1. To connect with parents for students’ progress.
  2. To discuss any problems or concerns of parents.
  3. To share student’s attendance with parents

B.Sc-IT department of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce conducted Parent’s meeting for all B.Sc-IT students on 31st January, 2021. In this meeting all First year, Second year and Third year student parents participated. 86 parents and 4 teachers attended. Exam related information was given to parents and also attendance information about the student was shared with parents.

The CORE CLUB of Bachelor of Information technology department of Niranjana Majithia College of commerce had organized a Webinar on IOT. The Webinar was started by Dr. Sweta R Kumar, Convenor of Core Club and B.Sc-IT Coordinator.

There was a brief about the webinar and the need of IOT in the present scenario and the need for IOT.

A brief introduction was presented to the resource person Mr. Chirag Raul about his experience and his skills.

The webinar was proceeded ahead by the speaker wherein discussed IOT, Aurdino and explained the working practically. He also explained how IOT helps us in our daily life.

The last session was vote of thanks by Prof. Rajesh Maisalge and ended the session with the feedback and attendance of the participants.

All the participants were issued certificates of attendance.

The CORE CLUB of Bachelor of Information technology department in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Niranjana Majithia College of commerce had organized Webinar on “Supply Chain Management & Business Intelligence, ERP Software” under the buzzing world as “SAP WORLD”. The Webinar was started by Dr. Sweta R Kumar, Convenor of Core Club,  B.Sc-IT & IQAC Coordinator.

There was a brief about the webinar and what is Supply Chain and ERP. The need of SAP in the present scenario and relating it to the corporate world.

She said that the webinar will work as a bridge between the college campus to the corporate world.

A brief introduction was presented on the resource person Mr. Devendra H. Joshi, (SAP Consulting General Mills India Pvt. Ltd) who has a rich experience of about 7 years in this field.

The webinar was proceeded ahead by the speaker wherein discussed different modules of SAP, its uses and related it to ERP and supply chain. He explained the working practically and  also explained how it helps in our daily working in any organisation.

Then there was a Q&A session wherein students had asked multiple questions and even various certification courses were suggested by the resource person for the students so that they can pursue a career in this field.

The last session was a vote of thanks by Prof. Arya Joshi and ended the session with the feedback and attendance of the participants.

All the participants were issued certificates of attendance.

 

Event: “World Telecommunication Day” Online Quiz

     Objective:

  1. To make students familiar with Telecommunication day.
  2. To enhance the knowledge of telecommunication and technology.

On 17th May 2021 Online Quiz was organised on the occasion of “World Telecommunication Day”. There were a total 77 students from different streams of B.Sc-IT, BMS and BCom who participated in this quiz out of which 27 students qualified the quiz and received the e-certificate.

Event: Exhibition on Robotics

Objective:

  1. To showcase the talent of the students.
  2. To encourage the students about Robotics.

B.Sc.IT has organized an Exhibition on Robotics and Hardware projects done by Third year students. It was conducted on Google meet application on 21st May, 2021 from 1.00 pm to 2 pm. Prof. Rajesh Maisalge from B.Sc.IT has introduced all participants about the Exhibition. Students from First year B.Sc.IT and Second year b.Sc.IT have participated in the event. Miss Sanjana from Third year was first to introduce her project on home automation. She explained working as well as hardware and software requirements of the project. Mr. Chinmay and few others have asked some doubts to Sanjana and she has cleared the doubt. Due to network issues, the remaining exhibition is postponed and will be kept as soon as possible.

Event: 5 Days Webinar on Cloud Computing

Objective:

  1. To enhance the knowledge of students about cloud computing.
  2. To make students aware about the future prospects of cloud computing and Big Data.

A five days webinar was organized by the B.Sc-IT department in collaboration with Robosol from 31 May 2021 to 4 May 2021 through the online mode. In the webinar there was a brief introduction about cloud computing and Big Data. The webinar was organised for First year, second year and third year students of B.Sc-IT. All the students in the webinar were awarded with the participation certificate

B.Sc_IT  Department REPORT  – 2020-2021

Event: Orientation Programme

 

B.Sc-IT department started the new academic year with an orientation programme for the first year students on 02nd July 2019. The main aim of orientation programme was to create awareness amongst students about university rules for their course, college discipline, passing standard, library, facility, computer lab facility, different activities conducted by the college, industrial visit as a part of their academic activity etc. The syllabus and program outcome of B.Sc-IT was explained in brief by the Coordinator Prof Sweta R Kumar. The session included the introduction about the faculty members and the rules and regulations of the lab were discussed.

 

Event: Guest Lecture on Building Software Startup & Look into Software Industry abroad

The guest lecture was organized on 20th June 2018 on “Software Building” startup by Mr. Niraj Dharmashi, Co-founder, Ellipsis.tech where in the resource person discussed how to have a startup and be your own boss.

The resource person Mr. Niraj Dharmashi was also invited on 23rd August 2019 for the session “Look into Software Industry abroad”. The speaker discussed about the future job prospects abroad in the software industry.

Event: Typing Master

The event was organised by the Core club volunteers Mahesh Reddy and Robson Nadar for all students of BCom, BMS and B.Sc-IT on 24 July 2019.

Event: Basic Computer Knowledge

The event was organised by the Core club volunteers Rakaesh Vishwakarma and Nitin Tiwari for all the students of BCom, BMS and B.Sc-IT on 27 July 2019.

Event: Reasoning Test

The event was organised by the Core club volunteers Neha Gupta and Shubhangi Kokate for all the students of BCom, BMS and B.Sc-IT on 3rd August 2019.

Event: Aptitude test

The event was organised by the Core club volunteers Ankit Pathak and Ankhush Upadhay for all the students of BCom, BMS and B.Sc-IT on 10th August 2019.

Event: Programming Master

The programming master event was organised by the core club volunteers Mahesh Reddy, Rakesh Pandey, Neha Gupta, Laxmi Pawar, Adarsh Pandey and Robson Nadar. The programming event included coding in C, C++, Python and Java language and it was organised on 31st August 2019, 7th September 2019, 14th September 2019 and 23rd November 2019.

 

Report on Guest Lecture on Embedded System.

BScIT Department has organized a guest lecture for the subject Project Based on Embedded System on 13-03-2020 for S.Y.B.Sc.IT Sem IV students. Prof. (Dr) Vishesh Shrivastav from KES college was the speaker. The session helped the students in grooming their knowledge in Embedded system project and also help them to get a better career opportunity in Robotics.

Event: Industrial Visit

On 23rd January 2020 total 120 students of First Year, Second Year, Third Year BMS and Bsc-IT along with 4 faculty members of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce

visited Sagar Stationery Pvt Ltd, Palghar, Maharashta. We left our college at 07:45 am and reached Palghar by 11:45 am. We travelled by bus with 120 students and four faculty members. First, we arrived at Sagar Stationery Pvt. Ltd. at 11:45 am. There we were assembled and taken to the unit where we had a look at the manufacturing of various types of office files like Document Folder, Display Book, Clip File Transparent & Opaque, Ring Binder, Streep Patti File, Polypropylene Products, Visiting Card Album, Softy Clip, Computer Binder, PP Lever Arch File, Super Strong File, Saga Display Book and Saga Clip File.

Company maintains a voluminous warehouse that is used for storing the vast range of office stationery products. The products are stored in different sections as per their category. This enables in the timely and proper execution at the time of delivery. The unit is looked after by the warehouse personnel who maintain a track of products stored and delivered to the clients end.

The packaging unit takes care of the packaging of our products to ensure their safe transit and delivery. Company packaging professionals use quality material to ensure that these remain unscratched during the shipment at the clients end.

Company Staff understand the importance of timely delivery of orders at the client’s unit. In order to achieve this goal we have an excellent logistics facility. well-defined logistic support and tie-ups with major C&F companies have enabled us to achieve the complete client satisfaction by delivering the products on time to the clients.

After visiting the Sagar Stationery Pvt. Ltd., we halted at Bhatana where we had a meal with and took a small break where we had a lovely photo session. With this, we left for college with the lovely memories of the extremely informative Industrial Visit.

National Level Online Quiz

The department of Information Technology organised a National Level Online Quiz on “World Telecommunication Day” on 16th May 2017 for spreading the awareness about the telecommunication among the students. Total 227 students participated in the quiz and were awarded with the participation certificate.

 

Event: Web Development

The event was organised by the Core club volunteers Robson Nadar and Shaifali Hawale for all the students of first, second and third year of B.Sc-IT on 31st November 2019.

 

Event: English Language and Comprehension

The event was organised by the Core club volunteers Sukanya Sangle and Shaifali Hawale for all the students of BCom, BMS and B.Sc-IT on 7th December 2019.

 

Event: Report on Guest Lecture on Advance Web Programming

BScIT Department has organized a guest lecture for the subject AWP(Advance Web Programming) on 21-11-2019 for T.Y.B.Sc.IT Sem V students. Prof. Vaishali Mishra from Nirmala Memorial Foundation college was the speaker. The session helped the students in grooming their knowledge in Advanced Web programming with Asp. Net and also help them to get a better career opportunity in Web Development.

BScIT Department has organized a seminar on Python programming by Microsoft NTA on 07-12-2019 for B.Sc.IT students. Mrs. Sai Rable from Microsoft Certification was the speaker. The session helped the students in grooming their knowledge in Python programming with industrial requirement and also help them to get a better career opportunity in Data Science.

The session helped the students to enhance their knowledge about what further studies can is perceived in the field of IT and also help them to get a better career opportunity in Robotics.

National Level Online Quiz

The department of Information Technology organised a National Level Online Quiz on “World Telecommunication Day” on 16th May 2017 for spreading the awareness about the telecommunication among the students. Total 227 students participated in the quiz and were awarded with the participation certificate.

Report For the Year 2019-2020

 

This year Core club’s first meeting was held on 14th July 2018 to elect the secretary, joint secretary and active members. In the meeting  First year, Second year and Third year BSc IT students were present .

TY student  Rishabh Ramesh Chandra Bharti was elected as a secretary, TY student Rahim Shaikh was elected as a joint secretary and 11 members were elected as active members who will co-ordinate for the events of the core club.

 

For the year 2018-19 activities of Core club started in the month of July. The first event was the typing master followed by the events based in the programming languages.

The first programming event was the blind coding for C ++  followed by the event in the language python then enterprise Java, ASP.NET and the last was C programming for the students .

The typing master event was conducted for the first year second year as well as 3rd year students.

The first year  Desai Yash got the first place whereas Mahesh Reddy was the  second place winner.

In the second year Amit pathak  got the first prize and in 3rd year Govind Maurya got the first prize and Murlidhar Mishra got the second prize .

 

The programming event of blind coding c++ was organised for the 2nd year BSc IT students and first prize was grabbed by Neha Gupta, second Shubham Sharma and third was Amit Pathak.

The coding for the Python language which was conducted on 25th August 2018 the first prize was grabbed by Neha Gupta second Amit Pathak and third was Shubham Sharma.

 

The coding event for Enterprise Java which was conducted for TY BSc IT students  on 11th August 2018 , first prize was grabbed by Siddhesh Bane, second prize  was  Rishabh Bharati and third was Murlidhar Mishra.

The coding event in the language of ASP.NET was conducted on 15th September 2018 for the TY students. In this event Dheeraj Sinha got first prize and Murlidhar Mishra got second prize.

The programming event in the language C was conducted for F Y BSc IT students. Kusum Chaurasia got the first prize Saket Shukla got second, Sanjana Bahot got the third prize.

 

In Aptitude Master event we had total 4 competitions They were general knowledge, reasoning aptitude, quantitative aptitude and English grammar. In the general knowledge event, which was open for all the students first prize was awarded to Sushankita Mishra, second was awarded to Suraj Yadav and third was awarded to Shubham Sharma.

In the event of English grammar which was again open for all the students the first place was won by Shefali, second place was Prajapati Rahul and third place was given to Abhishek Gupta.

The event reasoning aptitude was conducted on 1st September 2018 it was again open for all the students the first prize was grabbed by Abhishek Gupta, second prize was grabbed by Govind Maurya and third was Rahul Prajapati .

Event of quantitative aptitude was conducted on 8 September 2018 it was again open for all the students, Mahesh Reddy stood first, second wasYash Desai and third was Shiv Kumar Gupta.
