About Gujarati Sahitya Mandal
The Gujarati Sahitya Mandal of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce plays a vital role in preserving and promoting Gujarati language, literature, and culture within the institution. As the college is a Gujarati minority institution, this committee holds special significance in nurturing linguistic pride and cultural values among students.
The Mandal functions with great enthusiasm under the dedicated guidance of Sanjay Raval Sir and Shriya Pandit Madam, who take the privilege and responsibility of organizing and managing various literary and cultural events throughout the academic year. Their leadership ensures that students actively participate in activities such as essay writing, poetry recitation, elocution competitions, storytelling sessions, and celebration of important Gujarati literary days.
A special mention must be made of Jayesh Majithia Sir Managing Trustee of College, who being deeply connected to Gujarati culture, takes keen interest in all the activities of the Mandal. His encouragement and constant support inspire both students and faculty members to work with greater dedication and enthusiasm.
The Principal of the college, Dr. Reshma Vaja, provides valuable insights and guidance for every event organized under the Mandal. Her visionary leadership ensures that each activity aligns with the academic and cultural objectives of the institution.
Furthermore, Dr. Meena Mashru IQAC Co-ordinator consistently puts in extra efforts for the betterment of the college and supports all activities of the Gujarati Sahitya Mandal with dedication and commitment. Her constant motivation strengthens the committee’s initiatives and enhances the overall success of the programs conducted.
The Gujarati Sahitya Mandal thus serves as a cultural pillar of the college, fostering literary appreciation, cultural awareness, and unity among students. Through well-organized events and the collective efforts of the faculty and management, the Mandal continues to uphold the rich heritage of Gujarati language and literature with pride and excellence.

Objective:
- To encourage students to read, write, and appreciate Gujarati literature, poetry, essays, and classical works.

- To provide a platform for students to enhance their skills in elocution, debate, storytelling, creative writing, and public speaking in Gujarati.
- To strengthen students’ connection with their roots and foster pride in being part of a Gujarati minority institution.
- To celebrate important literary figures, cultural days, and traditional festivals that reflect Gujarati values and ethos.

1. Garba Night

The first term concluded on a vibrant and energetic note with a colorful Garba Night, organized as part of the festive celebrations of Navratri. The event beautifully showcased the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat and India. The campus resonated with festive enthusiasm as students and faculty members, dressed in traditional attire, gathered to celebrate the spirit of devotion and joy.
The program began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Navratri and the importance of Garba as a devotional dance dedicated to Goddess Durga. Soon, the atmosphere came alive with rhythmic folk music, synchronized claps, and coordinated Garba and Dandiya steps. Students formed lively circles and performed with great energy, grace, and enthusiasm, reflecting cultural pride and unity.
The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja and IQAC / BMS & B.Sc. IT Coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru, whose encouragement added dignity and inspiration to the event. To recognize talent and active participation, certificates and trophies were awarded by them for various categories.

Faculty members enthusiastically participated in traditional attire and actively took part in the competitions. Prizes were also awarded to faculty winners, appreciating their sporting spirit and wholehearted involvement in the celebration.

The discipline, coordination, and vibrant festive spirit displayed throughout the program made the Garba Night a memorable and joyful conclusion to the first term.
