Description
The celebration was themed “Twins Day” where students participated enthusiastically by wearing twin (matching) outfits with their close friends to symbolise their strong bond.
All the faculties encouraged students to participate in note writing and twin picture clicking activity. The core classroom activity of the day was “Soul Scribbles – Write What You Feel for Your Friend.” Sticky notes and writing materials were distributed in every classroom, allowing students to pen down heartfelt messages, appreciations, and words of encouragement for one another. Classrooms quickly transformed into expression hubs as sticky notes were exchanged and posted, spreading positive vibes throughout the campus.
In addition to note writing, students enthusiastically exchanged colourful friendship bands and captured memories by clicking pictures together in their twin outfits across photo spots on campus

Description
The event commenced with traditional solemnity, celebrating the sacred teacher student bond. The key highlight was a creative theatrical performance titled “Gurukul to Google”. The drama eloquently contrasted the ancient education system highlighting legendary devotion like that of Eklavya towards his Guru Dronacharya with today’s digital generation. While modern students rely heavily on digital platforms, PDFs, social media, and AI tools like ChatGPT for learning, the skit beautifully conveyed that modern technology cannot replace the core reverence and guidance provided by a Guru.
Additionally, students delivered heartwarming speeches acknowledging the pivotal role teachers play in shaping their lives. To add an interactive twist, students conducted an engaging riddle game where hints describing unique qualities of various faculty members were presented, prompting the audience to identify their teachers
The program was graced with precious guidance delivered by managing trustee Shri Jayesh majithia Sir, our incharge principal Dr. Reshma Vaja mam and IQAC coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru mam. All the faculties were very happy with the program as students prepared surprise video. The program ended with Cheers of students and smiles of teachers in the photographs and videos.

- To showcase student leadership, cultural expression, and teamwork through high-energy performances and rigorous physical formations.
Description:
Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce and Esplanade Junior College of Commerce jointly celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 starting at 7:30 AM with high patriotic enthusiasm and solemnity. The entire program was meticulously planned and executed under the visionary leadership of the Principal and the proactive guidance of the IQAC Coordinator, alongside the tireless efforts of the Cultural Committee convenors and student volunteers.
The ceremony commenced with the formal welcoming of the dignitaries, followed by a disciplined Parade and March Past with the student band led by Degree College students. The Chief Guest hoisted the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, National Pledge by Asst. Prof. Mangesh Jadhav, followed by the formal felicitation and presidential address of Managing Trustee Shri Jayesh Majithia Sir by Deepak Wani Sir.
The cultural segment showcased outstanding dedication and talent from both Junior and Degree College students:Speeches & Music, Dance Performances.
The crowning glory and true cherry on the cake were the synchronised folk and athletic performances. Degree College students delivered an electrifying Lezim dance narrated by Asst. Prof. Akshada Mestry, followed by a breathtaking 15-minute Human Pyramid formation narrated by Asst. Prof. Shriya Pandit. The pyramid display demonstrated remarkable physical balance, grit, and hours of rigorous student practice, drawing widespread applause from the audience.
The program concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks acknowledging the Principal, IQAC, Cultural Committee faculty coordinators, non-teaching staff, and every participating student for making the celebration a grand success.

The program was truly elevated and graced by the esteemed presence of our Principal, Dr. Reshma Vaja, and the IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Meena Mashru. Both leaders took time from their busy schedules to attend, showing their immense support as they enjoyed the performances thoroughly alongside the cheering students and dedicated faculty members. Their presence provided great encouragement to the entire college community. Furthermore, the immense success of the event was made possible through the tireless dedication and perfect guidance of Assistant Professor hriya Pandit, Assistant Professor Mangesh Jadhav and Assistant Professor Akshada Mestry. The pillars of Cultural Committee celebrated Guru Purnima on 10 July 2025 in the Seminar Hall with great reverence and enthusiasm. The event marked a meaningful beginning to the academic year, with 45 students actively participating in the celebration.
The program was organized as a traditional tribute to honour and express gratitude towards the educators who guide and mentor students throughout their academic journey. The ceremony began with a formal welcome, followed by students offering floral tributes as a symbol of respect to the faculty members.
The event featured soulful cultural performances, including devotional songs and thoughtful speeches that highlighted the significance of the mentor-student bond. Students spoke about the invaluable role teachers play in shaping character, imparting knowledge, and inspiring success.

4. Fresher’s Party
Date: 8 August 2025
To warmly welcome the new batch into the Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce family, the Cultural Committee organized a grand and refreshing Freshers’ Party on 8th August 2025 at 5:00 p.m. The program was specially arranged for the first-year students of B.Com, BMS, and B.Sc.-IT, with an enthusiastic presence of approximately 135 students.
The event was graced by the presence of Managing Trustee Shri Jayesh Majithia, Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja, Principal, BMS & Bsc-IT Coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru, and all faculty members, who warmly welcomed the freshers from all departments. Senior students extended a heartfelt welcome to their beloved juniors, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. A third-year student formally delivered the welcome address, cordially receiving the new students and marking the beginning of the celebration.
The cultural program began with an energetic welcome dance performed by the college cultural group, followed by a variety of entertaining performances including songs, dances, and engaging acts presented by students of B.Com, BMS, and B.Sc.-IT. The highlight of the evening was the much-awaited Mr. and Ms. Fresher Contest, where participants were judged on their wit, confidence, style, and stage presence.
The winners were announced and honored by Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja and Coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru, who presented the prizes and sashes to the winners.

5. Janmashtami

The Traditional Dahi Handi celebration was organized on 14th August 2025 in the college campus with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event commemorated the birth of Lord Krishna and aimed to promote cultural awareness and team spirit among students. Total of 33 students actively participated in the celebration. The campus was filled with spiritual energy as students gathered to witness and take part in the festive activity. The main highlight of the event was the formation of human pyramids, symbolizing the playful and courageous spirit of Lord Krishna.
Students demonstrated remarkable discipline, coordination, and teamwork while forming the pyramid to break the Dahi Handi. Safety measures were ensured throughout the activity, and participants cooperated responsibly, making the event both successful and safe. The celebration not only strengthened unity and bonding among students but also helped in preserving and promoting Indian cultural traditions within the campus. The event concluded on a joyful note with cheers and appreciation for the participants’ collective effort. The college proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025 at the college campus with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Managing Trustee Shri Jayesh Majitha, Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja, and Coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru, along with all faculty members and around 25 students.
The celebration began with a vibrant and traditional Lezim dance performance presented by the girl students to warmly welcome the dignitaries. The energetic beats and synchronized movements created a patriotic and festive atmosphere on the campus.
Following the welcome ceremony, the National Flag was unfurled by the Managing Trustee Shri Jayesh Majitha in the presence of Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja and Coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru. As the Tiranga fluttered high, everyone stood in reverence and sang the National Anthem, paying tribute to the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of India.
After the flag-hoisting ceremony, students performed a disciplined March Past and Salami under the able guidance of Sports Sir Mr. Saurabh Gehara, reflecting unity, coordination, and patriotic spirit.
The cultural program then proceeded with patriotic songs performed by students, filling the atmosphere with pride and national unity. A short skit was also presented, beautifully depicting the struggles and sacrifices of our national heroes during the freedom movement. The celebration featured creative performances including songs, dances, and short skits dedicated to teachers. Students also presented fun and thoughtful awards to faculty members, which added a joyful and light-hearted touch to the event. 8. Garba Night

The first term concluded on a vibrant and energetic note with a colorful Garba Night, organized as part of the festive celebrations of Navratri. The event beautifully showcased the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat and India. The campus resonated with festive enthusiasm as students and faculty members, dressed in traditional attire, gathered to celebrate the spirit of devotion and joy.
The program began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Navratri and the importance of Garba as a devotional dance dedicated to Goddess Durga. Soon, the atmosphere came alive with rhythmic folk music, synchronized claps, and coordinated Garba and Dandiya steps. Students formed lively circles and performed with great energy, grace, and enthusiasm, reflecting cultural pride and unity.
The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja and IQAC / BMS & B.Sc. IT Coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru, whose encouragement added dignity and inspiration to the event. To recognize talent and active participation, certificates and trophies were awarded by them for various categories.

Adding to the excitement, a “Best Eco-Friendly Decor” competition was conducted among the classes, encouraging creativity, environmental awareness, and active participation.
10. Majithia Week

Majithia Week was organized on the college campus under the guidance of the Culture Committee with the objective of promoting cultural awareness, creativity, and student participation in co-curricular activities. The event was successfully conducted under the supervision and guidance of Asst. Prof. Shriya Pandit, Dr.
Reshma Vaja, and Dr. Meena Mashru. Their continuous support and encouragement played a vital role in the smooth execution of the program. The activities commenced at 9:00 am and continued till 1:00 pm.
The faculty coordinators ensured proper planning, discipline, and active engagement throughout the event. During Majithia Week, various cultural and creative activities were organized to engage students. The events were structured to encourage participation, teamwork, and innovation. Students actively took part in different competitions and showcased their enthusiasm and talent. The activities were designed not only for

On 23rd December 2025, the Cultural Committee of the college organized a joyful celebration of Christmas to promote unity, harmony, and the spirit of secularism. The celebration was held in the Seminar Hall and Staff Room, creating a warm and festive atmosphere across the campus.
A beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned with lamps and flowers was placed in one corner of the college, adding charm and festive cheer to the surroundings.
The event was graced by the presence of Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja, Coordinator Dr. Meena Mashru, and the entire teaching and non-teaching staff. The Cultural Committee warmly welcomed the dignitaries and faculty members.
The program commenced with the principal addressing the gathering. She extended her heartfelt Christmas greetings to the students and staff and conveyed her best wishes for the upcoming New Year, inspiring everyone to step into the new year with positivity and enthusiasm.
Students from B.Com, BMS, and B.Sc. IT actively participated in the celebration. The program included various engaging activities such as one-minute games, dance performances, and singing performances. The students showcased their talents with great enthusiasm and energy.
The highlight of the celebration was the vibrant DJ session where students enjoyed dancing together, spreading happiness and festive spirit. A surprise visit from Santa Claus further added excitement and delight among the students. The celebration concluded with a winter-themed musical session, filling the campus with joy and togetherness.
The event successfully ended the year on a cheerful note, fostering unity, cultural appreciation, and festive spirit among students and staff.

The Cultural Committee, in association with the IQAC, organized a grand farewell program for the students of Third Year B. Com, BMS, and B. Sc.IT on 28th February 2026 at Sai Palace.
The students received a warm welcome at the venue, where the staff of Sai Palace greeted them by tying welcome bands on their wrists. This thoughtful gesture created a joyful and celebratory atmosphere. The students then proceeded for lunch, where a delicious and wide variety of dishes were served. The menu offered a delightful amalgamation of cuisines, which was appreciated by everyone present.
A lively DJ party was arranged as part of the celebration. The students enthusiastically enjoyed dancing, celebrating, and capturing memorable moments. They took numerous photographs with their friends and faculty members, preserving beautiful memories of their final year together.
The respected Principal, Dr. Reshma Vaja, and the IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Meena Mashru, wholeheartedly participated in the celebration and enjoyed the event along with the students and staff, making the occasion even more special. Special appreciation goes to Sanjay Sir, who managed and coordinated the entire event efficiently. His dedicated efforts ensured that the program was conducted smoothly and successfully.

Cultural Committee of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce is one of the crucial committees responsible for the jazz factor during the students’ college life. We are a bunch of motivated individuals who believe that a college should have its equal share of fun & frolic along with the case studies. Cultural Committee is an attempt to capture the vibrant persona of the students by offering them a platform to showcase their inner musicians, dancers, actors, painters, writers, photographers and dreamers.

- Guru Purnima Celebration

Event Highlights:
The event was organized by students of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce. The Seminar Hall was decorated with flowers and banners themed “Guru – The Light of Knowledge.” The program began with lamp lighting followed by the Principal’s welcome address. Students delivered speeches in Hindi, English, Marathi, and Gujarati. Devotional songs and classical dance performances reflected respect and gratitude toward teachers.
- Friendship Day Celebration

Event Highlights:
The program began at 10:10 a.m. with musical games such as Musical Friends Jodi. Prof. Shadab Shaikh welcomed students and faculty. The Principal Dr. Reshma Vaja and Vice Principal Dr. Shweta Kumar extended greetings. Games included a Quiz on Friendship and Musical Jodi. Students dressed in casual attire and enjoyed dance performances and a photo session.
- Independence Day Celebration

The program began at 9:00 a.m. with flag hoisting by Trustee Shri Jayeshbhai Majithia. The Principal delivered a patriotic speech. Students, faculty, and management participated enthusiastically.
- Krishna Janmashtami Celebration

Event Highlights:
About 66 students participated. The main attraction was Dahi Handi, where blindfolded students attempted to break the pot under guidance. The campus was decorated with vibrant colours and music. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Shadab Shaikh.

In tune to provide holistic education, a need was felt to strengthen the industry-institution interaction and collaboration. By undertaking a partnership, our college made advancement in Academe-Industry relationship.
Our college signed MOU with Skill Development and Vocational Training Institute of India, which has opened opportunities for our students by imparting various skill development courses.
Recent tie-ups with IMC – Chamber of Commerce and Industry will help our student in pursuit of better employment opportunities or independent export-import executives or start their own export-import business through value-added courses such as

Our college foray into newer territories pertaining to undergraduate and postgraduate education by establishing Personal Contact Program centers of B.Com and M.Com of IDOL in our college premises.
Cultural
Majithia Week, 2k18 an intra-collegiate event was organized from 13h December 2018 to 19th December 2018 where event such as tattoo making, poster making, nail art, Mehandi, cricket, PUBG mobile, hulk it up, tug of war, rink football, singing, dance, fashion show, hairstyle, rangoli, carrom, salad decoration, best out of waste, chess were organized
Snchankur Melawa’ i.e. ‘Fun N Fair’ was organized on 24th December 2018 where immense involvement was received from students of various school and colleges.
Sports
At the university level, our college students participated for 20 Km walking race, table tennis, badminton, kabaddi, volleyball, weight lifting, cricket, and best physique competition.
For the intercollegiate competition, box cricket and rink football team participated in the competition at Thakur College, kabaddi team at M. D. Shah Mahila College, cricket team participated at Bal Bharati College, KES’s Shroff College and at M. D. Shah Mahila College. Our college team also participated in Reliance Foundation Youth Sports.
A notable achievement was made by our student ‘Omkar Kadam’ who secured 1t place in Max Bupa 10 Km Walking Race, 2nd place in 10 Km Walking Bombay City athlete meet, 2hnd place in 10 Km Walking race at Shivaji Park, 3rd place in 20 Km Walking Race in Maharashtra State senior athletics championship, 3rd place in Malad Walkathon and was awarded Best Athlete in Walking Sports at Poinsur Gymkhana.
NSS
NSS activities are promoted by our college as it inculcates social welfare in students and provides service to society without bias. Our college has 2 NSS unit which has an enrolment of 200 students. Our NSS unit functions under the guidance of program officer Prof. Suresh Lokare. 70 activities were undertaken to make students sensitize towards society. Our NSS volunteers actively participated in many activities like Yoga Day, Road Safety workshop; Civil defense training, etc.
To imbibe the feeling of social welfare and community development, 7 days residential camp was organized at our adopted village ‘Bethane’. At Bathane, NSS volunteers undertook Swacha Abhiyan Rally and cleaned the village. They painted village school. They taught orphanage children and undertook the program for villagers. They undertook NDRF training. They also undertook Vanrai Bhandhara Our Volunteers celebrated our Hon’ble Trustee Sir’s Birthday with orphanage children and took dinner with them.
Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension
D.L.LE is the new initiative undertaken by our college from the academe year 2018-2019. It works under the guidance of work extension teacher Bhavika Rumde and has 34 registered members. Activities undertaken by D.L.L.E are

The research forum of our college encourages the student to undertake research activities. Ankit Mahendra Tiwari, Aarti Vaishya, Parvati Prajapati, Shiv Jaiswar, Ankit Tiwari, Fatima Khan, Rahim Shaikh, Murali Mishra, and Amit Pathak presented their research paper at KES College.
