Women Development Cell (WDC)
Women Development Cell (WDC) is a committee formed in colleges and institutions to promote gender equality, empower female students, and create awareness about women’s rights, safety, health, and overall development. It works to build a supportive and safe environment for women on campus.
Objectives:
- To empower women students and encourage their participation in academic and social activities.
- To create awareness about women’s rights, health, and safety.
- To promote gender equality and respect among students.
- To provide guidance, counselling, and support to female students.
- To organize seminars, workshops, and awareness programs related to women’s development.

The Women Development Cell of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce organized an event titled “Fitness: Your Superpower” for the students on 29th November, 2025. The objective of the program was to create awareness among students about the importance of physical fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Session was attended by 70 students.
The session was conducted by Dr. Hiral Shah, a member of the All India Women’s Conference. During the session, she guided the students on the significance of fitness in daily life and explained how regular physical activity contributes to both physical and mental well-being. She also highlighted various health benefits of maintaining fitness, such as improved energy levels, better concentration, stress reduction, and overall wellness.
Dr. Shah encouraged the students to adopt healthy habits, maintain a balanced routine, and include exercise as an essential part of their daily lifestyle. The session was informative and motivating, inspiring the students to understand that fitness can truly be their superpower in leading a healthy and productive life.
The program was successfully organized by the Women Development Cell of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce, and it was well-received by the students, making the event both informative and inspiring.
