Marathi Sahitya Mandal – Marathi Language Club

Marathi Sahitya Mandal functions under the Marathi Language Club of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce. This club encourages participation from students of all the departments in the college, including B.Com, BMS, and B.Sc. IT.

The main objective of this club is to promote the richness of the Marathi language, literature, and culture among students. Through this platform, students get an opportunity to come forward and showcase their talents and skills through various literary and cultural activities.

The committee regularly organizes different programs and activities, which help students express their creativity, improve their communication skills, and develop a deeper appreciation for Marathi language and literature. These activities also encourage students to actively participate and contribute to the cultural environment of the college.

Overall, the Marathi Sahitya Mandal plays an important role in nurturing students’ talents and promoting Marathi language and culture within the college community.

Objectives:

To promote and preserve the Marathi language, literature, and culture among students.
To encourage students to participate in literary and cultural activities related to Marathi.
To provide a platform for students to showcase their talents through speeches, poetry, debates, and performances.
To develop students’ communication and creative writing skills in Marathi.
To create awareness about the rich heritage and traditions of Marathi culture.
To encourage students to actively participate in events such as Marathi Bhasha Diwas and other cultural programs.

The Marathi Language Club, also known as Marathi Sahitya Mandal, of Niranjana Majithia College of Commerce organized Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din on 27th February 2026 from 9:00 a.m. onwards in the College Seminar Hall.

Students from different departments enthusiastically participated in the event and showcased their talents through various activities such as singing, dancing, rap, speeches, solo acts, and a fashion show. The program highlighted the richness of Marathi language and culture, and students beautifully presented the essence of Marathi traditions.

Many students followed the traditional dress code by wearing Marathi attire, which added cultural value and authenticity to the celebration. The event reflected the creativity, talent, and enthusiasm of the students, making the program lively and engaging.

To appreciate their efforts and encourage participation, the college and management felicitated all the participants with certificates. The event was a great success and helped in promoting the pride, heritage, and importance of the Marathi language among students.

On the occasion of Marathi Bhasha Divas, a Traditional Fashion Show was organized for the students. The participants enthusiastically took part in the event and beautifully showcased traditional Marathi attire and culture.

The event received a wonderful response from the students. Three winners were selected and awarded prizes along with certificates, and one consolation prize was also given to appreciate the efforts of the participants.

All the participants performed very well and made the event a great success.

Outcome:

The distribution of certificates motivated students to participate more actively in future events.

Kavya vachan

The Marathi Sahitya Mandal organized Kavya vachan .It was held on 22^nd Jan 2021. 20 students were participated for this event .Marathi Sahitya Mandal organized Kavya vachan online (Zoom platform) .

MARATHI BHASHA DIWAS

Marathi bhasha diwas is celebrated on birthday of eminent Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman shirwadkar. This day is celebrated by Marathi-speaking people in the state to honour the rich history and literature associated with it. on this day Essay competitions and seminars are arranged in schools and colleges.

The Marathi Sahitya Mandal celebrated Marathi Bhasha Diwas. Program was held on 27^th Feb 2021. The function was inaugurated by Managing Trustee Shri Jayeshbhai Majithia sir and principal Mrs. Reshma vaja Convener Mrs. Manali bhosle and member Bhavika Rumde. 10 students were participated for this program . Students participated in various activities, powada ,Speech , Gondhal dance. Marathi diwas is celebrate offline as well as online (Zoom platform) also

MARATHI SAHITYA MANDAL 2019-2020

Vaicharik Bhashan

The Marathi Sahitya Mandal organized vaicharik bhashan..It was held on 10^th oct 2019. Convener of the event was Mrs. Manali bhosle . 15 students were participated for this event .

Kavya vachan

The Marathi Sahitya Mandal organized Kavya vachan .It was held on 28^th Jan 2020. Convener of the event was Mrs. Manali bhosle. 20 students were participated for this event .

MARATHI BHASHA DIWAS

The Marathi Sahitya Mandal celebrated Marathi Bhasha Diwas. Program was held on 29^th Feb 2020. The function was inaugurated by Managing Trustee Shri Jayeshbhai Majithia sir and Co-ordinator Sweta Kumar and junior college principal Mr. Jayprakash Dixit sir, professor Miss. Sujata ghadigaonkar Convener Mrs. Manali bhosle. 30 students were participated for this program .Teaching and non –teaching staff were also there. Students participated in various activities, a powada ,Speech , Lazim, cultural dance. We have organized a short programme for the students during we will remind them about the importance of our state language and its history.

2018-2019

Hindi Samiti Activities

The meeting of the Hindi Sahitya Mandal was conducted on 14th July 2018 to elect a secretary and active members.
Dheeraj Sinha was elected as a secretary for the Hindi Sahitya Mandal.

The first event was organized on 31st July 2018, we celebrated Munshi Premchand’s birthday and screening of his famous story Namak Ka Daroga was done in front of the audience.

The second event was Hindi Diwas celebration and poetry reading competition, the competition was won by Amit Pathak

The third event was essay writing competition wherein the students have written essays on the following topics-

Digital India
Make in India
Pratibha Palayan

First prize was won by Parvati .R.Prajapati of TY BCom, the second prize was won by Priti Chaurasia of TY BMS and third prize was won by Suraj Yadav of SY BSc IT.

The Marathi Sahitya Mandal celebrated Mangala Gauri. The program was held on 19th Sep 2018. The function was inaugurated by Incharge Principal Mrs. Khushbu Pandya and Co-ordinator Sweta Kumar. Convener Mrs. Manali Bhosle and Members are Mrs. Bhavika Rumde and Miss Abigail Dmello. 30 students participated in this program. Teaching and non–teaching staff was also there.

Gujrati Mandal Activities

Birthday Celebration of “Poet Narmad”

GSM had organized “International Gujarati Language Day” as well as Birth anniversary of Poet Narmad on 24/8/2018. At 11 am in the college seminar hall. Nearly 100 students were present. It started with the history of Poet Narmad how he contributed to Gujarati Sahitya. It was a great success.

GSM had organized “Gujarati Essay Writing Competition”

On “Gandhiji” on 3rd October 2018 at 11 am in the block no.29.nearly 10-12students participated in the competition. This competition was held to enhance their knowledge and skills in their language.

on 4th October 2018 at 12.10pm PVR Milap, Kandivali(west).this movie was accompanied by 3 teachers and 3 students. The movie was about 3friends and how they try to accomplish their goals. The students learned a lot from this movie.
